On the forum where I met Buzz Daly there is a right leaning regular poster named Winston. His post on one thread said,

I responded with a smart assed remark that said if you read O’Reilly, Savage and Hannity you might be a killer.

Give this recipe for French Vanilla Custard Nice Cream a try:
ingredients:
1/2 gallon 1/2 and 1/2
1 dz egg yolks
3 cups sugar
1 vanilla bean
either 1/4 pound of trim or 1/4 ounce of bud

notes on ingredients:
-don’t try using milk here, for a rich ice cream you need 16% butter fat; the 1/2 & 1/2 you use for your coffee is the best thing.
-while vanilla extract is fine, never use vanilla flavoring. It’s made by toasting oak wood and then soaking it in alcohol, it really is awful. So please splurge here and use a real vanilla bean, you will notice the difference.
-while either the trim or the bud will equally make a very stoney nice cream, I have found that trim is actualy better because it give the nice cream an almost grean tea like flavor. don’t use hash, much to harsh a flavor for a frozen dessert.

Method:
-put 1/2 & 1/2 in a pot and bring to a simmer, crumble in your weed and let the stuff steep on the lowest heat setting for 1 hour. remove from heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature (you may omit this step but I find I get much more thc extraction this way), pass trough a fine mesh strainer. -put 1/2 & 1/2 in a clean pot, split the vanilla bean length wise and add to the pot, put the pot on the stove and bring to a simmer.
-remove vanilla bean and with the tip of a knife scrape out the beans and add to mixture.
-mix egg yolks and sugar in a bowl.
-take 2 cups of 1/2 & 1/2 mixture and add to egg mixture, mix. (this is called “tempering the egg”; you raise the tempurature of the eggs closer to that of the 1/2 & 1/2 so that when you add them to the pot they will not scramble)
-set 1/2 & 1/2 mixture on lowest possible heat setting and add the egg mixture. THIS PART IS VERY IMPORTANT: with a rubber spatula you must be constantly stirring the pot to keep the eggs from scrambling. If the heat is low enough and you are diligent, in 10-15 minutes the mixture will begin to thicken and you will get a Creme Anglaise. This is the base for vanilla custard ice cream.
-remove from heat, pass through a strainer, and cool down to room temperature.
-put the mixture in an ice cream freezer, you remember the type that you pack with salt and ice.

-Fire up a joint while you crank up the freezer and enjoy.

John McCain said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week”, “There is nothing that’s off the table. I have my positions, and I’ll articulate them. But nothing’s off the table,” McCain said. “I don’t want tax increases. But that doesn’t mean that anything is off the table.”

He was talking about an increase of payroll taxes toward Social Security. During his campaign he has promised no new taxes as a major part of his platform. Then he suggests a tax increase.

Eyebrows were raised by constituents, then by the Republican party. They musta raised a little cane because he changed his tune yesterday again. He is trying the old Nancy Reagan “Just Say No” tactic now to those who question him. No explanations. No discussion of his statements from Sunday. Just a “NO” when asked about new taxes.

At least he is following in Nancy’s footsteps and not Ronnie’s.

Or is he?

We really can’t afford another sleeping senile president.

Nor a flip,flop, then flip again “leader”.

Thanx for being patient with me while I was one. I have not spent much time at the computing machine because of severe pain and recovery. I will try to be more faithful to my readers by posting more.

Pain is depressing and it takes a lot to overcome those things. I’m working on it though.

The FDIC is busy these days.Two banks, and their branches, were closed by the FDIC Friday in Arizona. (I wonder how this will affect John and Cindy)

From the AP story “Bill Uffelman of the Nevada Bankers Association said Friday the FDIC action “is a reflection of the times for the banks. It’s a poor economy.”"

A poor economy here is obvious. The cost of fuel has affected the price of everything. Home buyers are becoming homeless daily. And now banks are becoming too weak to remain open. My bleeding heart makes me wonder if this is “Karma” for letting children here and abroad go with out medicine and healthy food while we pump billions into killing people.

One of the countries we have been denying is Venezuela. Hugo Chavez is not one of Georgies favorite leaders. Something to do with Bush’s “Do as I say, not as I do” rants about human rights violations. But Hugo is getting food and medicine for his country by offering and selling Spain oil at $100 a barrel.

While our economy is crippled largely because of the illegal war and oil prices Venezuela’s leader is trying to build theirs. Healthy people are essential to keeping an economy alive. At least Hugo is smart enough to know that good profits from oil while keeping the kids fed with better medical care is better than forgetting the people while the few make record profits.

Makes you wonder who the devil really is.

Iraq’s next elections are postponed but the US puppets are taking their place in line for winning when they finally get around to being elected.  The artificial “peace” established by the surge is bringing the people out of their homes and the politicians out as well. In a Newsweek Article there is a picture of kids swimming in a bomb crater in the neighborhood where they live. There is also pieces of an interview with American backed Shiek Ali Hatim. Probably a winner in the election, whenever they are finally held, he feels Iraq is ready to do it on their own. Especially since he has gotten the credit for supporting troops that got Al Qaida beaten down in the country.

The freedom in Baghdad is fragile at best what with the lack of electricity and small factions still sending suicide bombers out to kill but maybe they are right. Maybe the surge worked.

It’s just time for The United States to back off and let them do it on their own. If their leader wants us out in 16 months or thereabout I supprot that. The sooner our folks come home the better.

It should be this way.

Last week Obama fucked up badly when he cast his un-American vote to absolve those who have commited domestic spying crimes and continue to do so.

John McCain says flip flopping politicians aren’t to be trusted. Wonder if he should just drop out now.

No. This time it isn’t a hurricane. Not any natural disaster has or can bring the long lasting destruction that off shore oil drilling has already brought. Bush wants even more.

I remember when the coast of Mississippi was brilliant white sand. By the end of the ’80’s it was brown and dirty. They said it was from the waste and run off from the wells off of the coast. The fishing industry has been messed up. Boating isn’t as fun anymore as the water is dirty and oily.

Bush announced today that he is lifting bans on off shore drilling and hopes Congress approves it.

Nancy Pelosi calls it a election year hoax.

John McCain supports it. Same Ol’ Bushit for him.

Obama’s campaign opposes it because it wouldn’t give any short term relief at the pumps.

MSNBC reports on the disaster named Bush/McCain.
