Blog Of The Day
Stephen from New Milford, Connecticut was the first blogger that exchanged blog rolls with me. I added him early on in my try at blogging. I felt he had a lot to say and presented it very well. I was totally surprised that a blogger of his esteem would add me in return. I wondered at first why someone so well spoken would put a stumbler such as I on his blog roll. Then when he commented on my site I realized he read my stuff and liked it enough to return and read at other times. (made me feel good that he didn’t just return the blog roll favor.)
I enjoy the way he presents his topics and is in no way afraid to “out” fraudulent politicians (especially the right wing ones) on misdeeds and lies. He provides many links to back up his opinion and is talented in the art of getting his point across. I really hope my readers will go check out Drinking Liberally In New Milford.
Stumble it!

While I am flattered, I think you may be overestimating my esteem meter? lol
And, in a way, I am just returning the favor and courtesy that many other Bloggers have shown to me.

“As ctblogger commented in an earlier MLN diary of mine on building a better community:
We should all work together to fight the good progressive fight and not be so critical in terms of other people’s sites. I read CTBlue, Ed’s Daily Rant, CT Local Politics, and the watch sites everyday and I learn something new from all of those guys which I incorporate into my site and that’s the way it should be. Learn something from me and I learn something from you.
2006 is going to be a HUGE election year and Connecticut will be ground zero in terms of who controls Congress (2nd, 4th 5th district races). The faster we can all work to get this site up to full-speed, the more national attention it will receive.
He also called me out for not having links to his sites… Which I quickly fixed. lol

He, and many others, also encouraged me with comments and other help early on. Together, we all built a strong presence in our local Connecticut Blogosphere.
We still need to keep building. And while we all build this together… “Learn something from me and I learn something from you.” Everyone brings something important to the debate. Be it a personal or professional perspective, or even that different point of view that is in disagreement.
I take the view that we should all work together. Not just on a local level, but on a state, national and an international level. Because that is how big the problems are.
